APHC Introduces New Solid Fuel Heating Course
The course is designed for experienced plumbing & heating engineers to prove their competence to install and commission solid fuel appliances and heating systems to the requirements laid down in the Building Regulations and supporting standards and is a method of proving competence under APHCs newly launched Competent Persons Scheme.
The first course is scheduled to be delivered at the APHC offices at Coventry on the 24th/25th April 2007 with just two spaces still available for potential course delegates.
The 2-day solid fuel course forms part of the portfolio of APHC courses designed to support competent persons scheme approval that are being developed during 2007 including –
· Installation of Sanitary Pipework and Rainwater Systems in Domestic Properties (already developed and available)
· Installation of Oil Storage Tanks, Oil Fired Pressure Jet and Vaporising Appliances and Appliance Commissioning Requirements in Domestic Properties
· Installation and Commissioning of Gas and Oil fired Energy Efficient Heating Systems and Vented Hot Water Systems in Domestic Properties (Building Regulations Part L1)
· Installation and Testing of Electrical Equipment Associated with Plumbing & Heating Work in Domestic Properties (Defined Scope Part P)
· Installation, Commissioning & Maintenance of Unvented Hot water Systems
· Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations
