Set up in 2007, the APHC Competent Persons Scheme has quickly become the industry's most comprehensive Competent Persons solution. APHC's Competent Person scheme allows you to self certify work falling under the scope of building regulations including:

Gas appliances (separate registration with Gas Safe Register is required)
Oil appliances
Solid fuel appliances
Defined scope electrical part P
Sanitary appliances including bathroom installation
Open vented and unvented hot water systems
Open vented and sealed central heating systems
Renewable technologies including solar, heat pump installations.

Competent Persons Schemes provide an alternative to submitting building notice applications saving yourself and your customer additional costs and time. They also provide the evidence of building work that customers now require to complete their information obligations when selling properties under the Home Information Pack (HIPs).

As a member of APHC's CP Scheme you can post all your notifications through our online system for £;1.50 per electronic notification*, reduced price gas notifications are available to Gas Safe Registered installers.

If you are a current member of CORGI, NAPIT, OFTEC, HETAS or any other government recognised Competent Persons Scheme you can save the cost of these duplicate schemes and the added administration of multiple notifications and join the APHC scheme for only £21 per month (exc VAT) Terms and Conditions apply.
